Again Hercules Arrested by Police, Allegedly Related to Land Case

Kanal Utama. West Jakarta Metro Police arrested the Hercules Rozario Marshal on Wednesday (11/21). The arrest was allegedly related to the case of land occupation in Kalideres, West Jakarta by dozens of thugs.


West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigator Adjunct Senior Commissioner Edi Suranta Sitepu confirmed the news of the arrest. But he has not been able to specify the matter of the arrest.


"It's true we caught," he said when confirmed.


"Not yet able to say the problem is still being examined, the important thing is I have justified (about the arrest) first," he said.


Previously it was known that a number of thugs occupied the disputed land in Kalideres on Tuesday (6/11). Dozens of thugs have been arrested in different locations by the police.


Hercules is known as one of the leaders in Tanah Abang. He often deals with legal matters.


In 2014, the West Jakarta District Court sentenced Hercules to three years in prison. He was found guilty and proven guilty of extortion and money laundering.


The judge agreed that Hercules was legally and convincingly proven to violate Article 368 of the Criminal Code concerning extortion and Article 3 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning money laundering.


Hercules was proven to have extorted money from Sukanto Tjakra, Director of PT Multi Tjakra Strategy. Hercules was also stated intentionally to use his label as a thug to scare the developer. He did it with the intention of asking for money from the victim.


Evidence of extortion is the surrender of Rp. 200 million as a guarantee that Hercules and his subordinates will no longer block the construction of shophouses and apartments by PT Multi Tjakra Strategy.
